In preparation for the Nonprofit AI Institute’s 2026 launch, we have been deeply engaged in understanding the landscape. Over the past year, our team has conducted extensive research and hosted listening sessions with nonprofits in the San Diego region. We've asked them what they need, what challenges they face, and how they envision AI fitting into their missions. This process has reinforced that AI is critical right now, and many nonprofits simply don’t know where to start. We are committed to helping them adopt the ethical and moral frameworks needed to integrate AI responsibly.

Learning from the Best: Insights from the AI Conference

To ensure that our upcoming initiative is both innovative and impactful, we recently attended a major AI conference in San Francisco. There, we connected with thought leaders, explored cutting-edge tools, and gathered insights on how to tailor AI solutions specifically for the nonprofit context.
